Uncontrollable sneezing attacks triggered by sunlight or other bright light source. Also called ACHOO Syndrome (Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio-Ophthalmic Outburst). It is estimated to effect 18% to 35% of the population and thought to be caused by the Paroutka Sneeze Gene. The exact mechanism is unknown; however the probable cause is a congenital malfunction in nerve signals in the trigeminal nerve nuclei. ACHOO Syndrome has been associated with depression.
