Maternal-only-linked mitochondrial DNA. In human genetics, a human mitochondrial DNA haplogroup is a haplogroup defined by differences in human mitochondrial DNA.
Paul Shenton
One of the least well though out questions.
The purpose is for people to give their phenotypes, and then by sharing genotypes, the correlation between the two can be found. mtDNA- haplogroup is already simply a genotype. Accordingly, the correlation between having a specific genotype and having a specific genotype will be direct, but of not usage. It is like saying that 100% of dead people are dead. True, but very useless.
